Susie Q has just arrived safely in rescue after been seen running the streets as a stray and trying to survive for more than a month. A good samaritan brought her home and took care of her and contacted OBR. She is very thin, and needs some TLC while in foster care. Her eyes tell me she hasn't had much fun for a long time, but they also have a glimmer of hope and trust. She will be available later in August when she has been vetted. My guess she is around 5 years old. She is having a hard time believing she is now an indoor princess, rather than an outside breeding machine, but is now enjoying the attention from her foster mom and the other bassets. She is definitely skittish meeting men, but maybe in time she will learn that everybody will be kind to her. She is a sweet girl, and enjoys the doggie door and fenced yard very much. Susie Q is being fostered in Stark County, and her bio will be updated after her vet visit.
