Springsteen is an 8 yr old black & white male who was rescued from Perry county's high-kill shelter minutes before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Sadly seniors such as Springsteen, rarely get get the opportunity to leave a shelter once they make it in. Family's often assume older dogs are in the shelter because of health issues, but that's not always the case. They too get lost, similar to Springsteen and their family doesn't come looking for them. Springsteen has never been more grateful for the second chance at love and happiness. He tried to snuggle with the transporter to thank her for saving him and he's been nothing but AWESOME for the vet staff and everyone he meets. His sad soulful basset eyes tell a story of sadness and heart ache. He isn't sure why he doesn't have a home, but he's waiting patiently hoping someone will find him and love him as much as he promises to love them. Springsteen is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and on a flea/heart worm preventive. Please be that special someone for Springsteen. Springsteen is being fostered in Pittsburgh, PA
