Dandelion is between 3-4 years old, but had been neglected so badly in her short life, that her body has endured more than many senior hounds. She has been on strict R & R recovering from heartworm treatment, and will be tested on August 11, and hopefully will be given a clean bill of health and be ready for her forever home. Besides heartworm treatment, she had to have 17 teeth removed. Her infected teeth and gums were so severe that an infection traveled to her spine and she has been taking antibiotics to clear this infection. She also came with a respiratory infection and a severe urinary infection that she has also been taken additional antibiotics to treat. Dandelions vet bills have been in excess of $1,000, but as always our rescues deserve whatever treatment to get well. Dandelion is in a foster home with many bassets, but observing her personality, she would be very content to be the only princess or maybe a submissive friend. She is very quick, and needs a fenced yard to stay safe. Dandelion absolutely hates a crate, but rests peacefully on the couch and is trusted to have free roam without getting into mischief. She is being fostered in Stark County.
