Welcome Odie!  Odie is an 8 yr old male basset who came to OBHR when his owner could no longer care for him. He's on the smaller side at 44 lbs and has the cutest tail, especially if you're a Star Wars fan. His foster calls it his Princess Leia tail. He was born that way. Odie was suspected of having epilepsy but has not shown any evidence of seizures and our vet could find no solid diagnosis from his previous vets so he has successfully been weaned off of one of the two meds he was taking when he came to us. The vet has cleared him of any health concerns and agrees he can slowly come off of his remaining medication with direction from the adoptive family's vet.  Odie gets along with all age groups and does great with dogs and cats as well. He's very sweet, calm and laid back. His foster describes his demeanor as "You're here, I'm here, I'm fine." He would benefit from a family that will help build his confidence on car rides and if there's another dog for him to shadow, that would be a bonus for him. He is house trained but he’s a very slow moving boy. He does not require a fenced in yard. Odie’s adoption fee is $200.
